If your diesel truck, bus, or RV has a manufacturer’s GVWR over 14,000 pounds and operates on California roads, it may be covered by California’s Clean Truck Check program. OC Smog Lab provides mobile testing for eligible vehicles in Placentia, Anaheim, Fullerton, Brea, Yorba Linda, and nearby Orange County communities. We come to the vehicle, helping owner-operators and fleets avoid an extra trip and keep downtime to a minimum.
Most diesel engines from 2013 and newer need an OBD test with a CARB-approved device. Older diesel engines usually require a different type of inspection. Before booking, check the required test and deadline in your CTC-VIS account. Then call or text (323) 592-9360 with the vehicle year, engine year, fuel type, and GVWR. We’ll confirm whether our mobile service is the right fit and help you schedule the test. CARB registration and compliance fees are separate from our $175 testing service.

OC Smog Lab is a STAR-certified, smog-test-only station serving Placentia, Yorba Linda, Fullerton, Orange, Anaheim, Brea and the surrounding community. Because we don’t perform repairs, you can expect an honest inspection without upselling or pressure—just accurate testing, straightforward results, and friendly service.
Most vehicles from 2000 and newer can be completed in about 15 minutes. Vehicles from 1999 and older typically take about 30 minutes, depending on shop traffic.
Walk-ins are always welcome, and appointments are preferred. For vehicles from 1995 and older, we strongly recommend booking an appointment or calling ahead.
